Telehealth Services Winnetka

During COVID-19, in order to protect your safety, as well as the safety of our staff, we are providing telehealth services to our patients near Winnetka until it’s safe to resume in-person appointments. Clients can now speak with our clinicians via video conferencing from their homes or a private space. Telemedicine is available for psychotherapy and psychiatry (medication management). Our experienced team of providers is dedicated to providing compassionate and efficient mental health care for patients during this challenging time. We will work with you to come up with a personalized treatment plan. Our office staff are working remotely as well and are always available to assist you.

While many of our patients have some experience using different types of platforms for telecommunication, we understand that for others there may be some time to become accustomed. In our experience, almost everyone has been able to find a way to feel comfortable and benefit from our services provided online. While some people choose to have their sessions over the phone, most patients and providers find that having a video connection is more beneficial in the therapeutic process. Also, insurance providers have policies that cover telepsychiatry and teletherapy conducted using video, but will not offer reimbursement for a phone appointment.

We’ve also created a page with many helpful coping resources that we’ll be updating over time. Please click the button below to access it.

The Federal Government has temporarily eased requirements for telemedicine during this crisis and is permitting telehealth meetings with patients via Facetime, WhatsApp, Skype and other online platforms. We will be transitioning telehealth services with our clinicians to using RingCentral Meetings, a HIPAA-compliant secure app on your computer or phone. It’s very easy to use, and you only have to download it once to be able connect quickly online for all future sessions. Hali or Jonna in our virtual “front office” are here to answer any questions you may have about using RingCentral Meetings.

To download the RingCentral Meetings app for your device:

2) Toward the top of the page, click on “Download for PC” or click the drop-down arrow and select the appropriate option for your device.

Living with other family members or roommates can prompt a number of different conflicts. The fear of COVID-19 can intensify any issues that may have been manageable before having to shelter in place.

For couples, marital issues, parenting challenges, and financial stresses can increase the frequency conflict. When everyone is home all of the time it is harder to maintain privacy. Issues with drug abuse and domestic violence can become worse by not having the usual support systems and distractions.
